Recent studies have established that the #1 way to GROW as a Christian is to READ THE BIBLE. I could also site PLENTY of verses to support this statement, which can be found in the Bible itself. We are to LIVE on the very word of God. Yet many of us rarely, if ever, spend time reading and studying His word. We wonder why there is so much chaos in our lives, yet the answer is simple - we are malnourished. Spiritually, we are starving. I refuse for us to enter the New Year, in the same old neglected state. God is calling us to MORE. There is so much that He wants to do in us and through us, yet He requires a level of maturity from us, that we simply will NEVER reach if we are not willing to put in the time and work. The Bible tells us God's word is a LAMP unto our feet and a LIGHT unto our paths (Psalm 119:105). Consider that for a moment. Picture a maze. Now imagine it is pitch black. You are given a lamp. When fully utilized this lamp has the power to guide you safely through the maze. Now, unless you pick the lamp up, and then hold it in front of you, perhaps at your feet, AT ALL TIMES, and follow the path it lights for you... what good will it do you? If you set the lamp down and walk away from it, into the darkness, it can no longer light your path... Are you getting it? God has left His word, to light our paths! But unless we spend time READING it, STUDYING it, WRITING it on our hearts, and APPLYING it to our lives, we are literally doing ourselves a disservice. We are choosing to walk in the dark, when God has left us a light! Sounds crazy right? But it's exactly what many of us are doing.

Therefore, we are going to begin TODAY, our last group challenge and growth activity of the year!{{ IF YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE, HERE IS WHAT WE ARE GOING TO DO}} We are
going to DIVE into God's word - TOGETHER! Beginning today 12/10 , we are going to read through 7 books of the Bible between today and January 8th (Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 Thessalonians, 2 Thessalonians, 1 Timothy, and 2 Timothy)! We will be reading ONE chapter/day AND to hold each other accountable and to ensure we are not just reading, but actually STUDYING His word, we will also post at least ONE verse from the chapter we read EACH DAY to the corresponding post for the day. For instance, we will begin in the book of Ephesians. So today, I will post a post entitled {{ Dec 10th // Ephesians Chapter 1 }}. We will all read Ephesians Chapter 1 and then we will post at least one verse from that chapter. It can be a verse that spoke to our hearts, that we have decided to commit to memory, that we think would bless our sisters, etc. Again, if you accept this challenge, you will be reading ONE chapter a day AND you will be sharing at least ONE verse/day from the chapter WE are reading collectively as a group. *If you are not a member of our facebook group, simply come back to the site (HERE) each day and share your daily verse as a COMMENT on this post!!

{Psalm 119:130} The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple. {Psalm 119:105} Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.
{Psalm 119:9} How shall a young man (woman) cleanse his (her) way? By taking heed and keeping watch [on himself] according to Your word [conforming his life to it].
{Ephesians 5:8-11} For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.
