PRAYER/SALVATION

1. PRAYER OF SALVATION

God loves you and wants you to experience peace and life--abundant and eternal.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16
"Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." John 14:6
"If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10: 9-10
 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9 

If you sincerely believe in your heart, that Jesus Christ is the son of God who died on the cross for your sins and and rose again on the third day, you can pray this prayer and have everlasting life:
 
"Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life, toward you. Please forgive me, and help me to avoid sinning again. 
I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward.  
Give me an understanding of your Holy word. Teach me your ways and your statues Lord. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. From this day forward, I will no longer be controlled by sin, or the desire to please myself, but I will follow You all the days of my life. Those days are in Your hands. 
Lord, please bring genuine believers into my life who will encourage me to live for You and help me stay accountable. 
I ask this in Jesus' precious and holy name. I thank you for saving me Lord. Amen."

Read the gospel of John. Then read the New Testament. Then start in Genesis and read the whole Bible. And when you finish the whole Bible – start over again. Read your Bible everyday. Three chapters a day (about 10 minutes) will read it through in a year.

2. Start a prayer life. You say, I don't know how to pray. Just talk to God like you do anybody else. He knows all about you anyway. Get a notebook and start a prayer list. Put down your friends and loved ones that need to be saved. Pray for the president, the country. If you have needs, health, financial, marriage problems — ask God to help you. Pray about EVERYTHING. Open the door of the day (morning) with prayer and lock the night with prayer. You can not pray too much. In your day by day activities – pray. At work – pray. Driving in the car – pray. Wherever and whenever – pray. Decide that prayer is going to be your life-long friend.
"Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice." Psalm 55:17 
"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened." Matthew 7:7-8

3. Tell somebody about Jesus. Go tell someone when you get through reading this that you just got saved. Tell your family. Tell your friends. Tell the world! Try to find someone everyday you can tell about Jesus.
“Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.” Mark 5:19
"And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ". Acts 5:42

4. Fellowship with other Christians and attend church services regularly. Find a local Bible-Belieiving church. Come to think of it, let us know which city you are in, one of your new sisters may be in your city and I'm sure they'd love for you to attend church with them!! You do need the covering, fellowship, and teaching a local church provides, and the leadership of a pastor. "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Romans 10:17
It is vital to have other believers around you, because the enemy will try to get you to turn back from the decision that you have just made. "...not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching." Hebrews 10:25
This may also help you to grow, give you an opportunity to talk with other people who
have made this same commitment, and may provide you with encouragement through
the growth process.  
"So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work." Ephesians 4:11-16

5. Get involved in a ministry group. Most churches offer small groups and many ministry opportunities. Pray and ask God where you should “plug in.” It’s the people who really “get plugged in” that find their purpose and soar in their walk with Christ. Sometimes this takes a little time, but most churches offer classes or counseling to help you find the place that’s right for you. Don’t get discouraged if the first thing you try doesn’t seem to fit.

6. Baptism. Jesus Christ led a perfect, blameless life, and then died on the cross so we could be forgiven. It is only through His perfect sacrifice that we are saved from the eternal consequences of our sin. Salvation occurs when a person places his or her faith in the death and resurrection of Christ. So, where does baptism come in? Why should a Christian seek to be baptized? 
 Jesus regarded the ceremony of baptism—which in most biblical accounts is followed by the laying on of hands—to be so important that He commissioned His Church to go all over the world baptizing disciples who believe the gospel message. "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations," He said, "baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you ..." (Matthew:28:19-20).


Peter emphasized the need for baptism, after repentance, so we can receive God's gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts:2:38).
Baptism is a public declaration of faith—the next step of obedience. It is an opportunity to show others that you have accepted Christ and are now walking with Him. It is an outward sign of an inward change of heart and mind. It symbolizes what took place in your heart at the time of your salvation:
  • You accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
  • You shared in His death and resurrection. (This is illustrated by going under the water, and rising up again—you let your old life of sin die, and then began a new life.)
  • You were symbolically washed clean and your sins were forgiven by Jesus' death on the cross.
Baptism is a reminder of several deep spiritual truths. It represents death, burial and resurrection—both of Jesus and ourselves. Baptism shows that we accept the shed blood of Christ for our sins and pictures the death of our former life in the baptismal grave.


As Jesus was resurrected a spirit being, our coming out of the grave—rising out of the baptismal water—symbolizes our new Spirit-led life. Our understanding of the true meaning of repentance and conversion lifts baptism to much more than just a symbol; it becomes a profound, life-changing event.

The more time we spend with Him and in His word, the more we will begin to think, act, and be like him. On behalf of all of your sisters here, I'd like you to know that you have a just gained a group of sisters who love you and who are here for you. The bible says, 
"Two are better than one,
   because they have a good return for their labor:
 If either of them falls down,
   one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls
   and has no one to help them up."
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. James 5:16

"“Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” Matthew 18:19-20


 "And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints" (Ephesians 6:18).



"In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express" (Romans 8:26). 


"And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him" (Matthew 6:5-8).

Philippians 4:6-7 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.


 "Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus" 
(1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).



Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Heb 4:16

  1. Please pray for my cousin Sheila who is 45 and is in fatal heart failure and having emergency surgery this morning. She has been in the hospital wince Thanksgiving. It all began with a staph infection and she has had a whirlwind of issues along the way. However prayers have been answered and there are currently no infections currently present. We are just now dealing with the surgery today. Pray for wisdom for the doctors and complete healing for Sheila. Thank you my sisters for lifting her up in prayer!

    1. Dear God, I thank you for our Sister, Ashley. We thank you for her heart of prayer. We ask that you would strengthen her and comfort her in this time, so that she may continue to be a source of strength and comfort for her dear cousin.
      Jehovah Rapha, our HEALER, I ask that you would touch Sheila's heart, right now, where she is, strengthen and restore her heart. We know the healing power you possess, Lord God. Your word tells us, "...I will restore you to health and heal your wounds..." Jer 30:17... it also tells us where 2 or more are gathered, You are in the midst. Lord, we gather here today to lift our sister, Sheila, up in prayer. We place her heart in Your holy hands. We ask that You would bless the hands, minds, and hearts of the entire medical staff as they operate on and care for Sheila. Give them wisdom and precision, Lord God. We pray for COMPLETE HEALING & RESTORATION for Sheila. God, we speak against the spirit of trauma that her body has endured. There will be no lasting effects, but her body, heart, and mind will be completely restored. Thank you, Jesus! Thank you for hearing our prayers and for healing our Sister. God I also pray that you will make you presence known to her, that she may feel the peace of God, which surpasses ALL understanding. We love you Lord, and we thank you. All these things, we ask in Jesus' holy name, Amen.

Hello....just would love some prayer right now...going thru a really hurtful heart brake and I know God has a better plan I really do but just at this moment I'm in pain and feel so dumb for crying cuz of this when there are so many other ppl out there that are going thru worse things. My 2 kids and I will be leaving Pennsylvania this Saturday heading back to California and leaving my ex behind. But that's what he wanted. Just never knew it could hurt so badly and NEVER knew someone could be So mean and hurtful. Thank you for listening...

    1. Dora, my heart goes out to you. When I read your story I couldn't help but to feel as though I was reading about myself. About a year ago, I got out of a 6 year relationship, and out of this relationship I have a 4 year od son. I moved from Michigan, to Saskatchewan Canada. Said to be the strongests muscle in the body, why do we let it make us feel so weak? Our heart is a precious thing, not t be mistreated or misused, and God would NEVER want us to feel any other way but AMAZING!!!!! I know that it hurts more than words can describe. So do not feel "dumb for crying." Cry. Cry until you don't feel like crying anymore, Lord knows I did. I am slowly coming back to me. Finding and drawing nearer to the Lord is what got me by, and continues to do so. I would like to say a prayer for you. Dear Heavenly Father, I ask that you be with Dora today as you are in everyday, I ask that you surround her with your love, your grace, and your peace. I ask that you heal her heart Lord that you draw her nearer to you in this time of need. Amen.

      He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." And I am believing this for you. Stay in faith knowing and believing that God has something greater in store for you and your children. A man that will recognize your beauty inside out, and never misuse you, or take you for granted. Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.   4. I believe God for he is not an God that shall lie. I am asking for prayer to strengthen me. I know my faith is strong but there are days where I question it. because I am looking at my life in the presents an it is not where I want it to be. I am telling God I don't mind waiting on him. And I don't. But I must be honest. There are days I don't want to get dress or leave the house. If I am not at church I am not leaving my house at all. This is starting to worry me because I know the word. I read my bible daily and I am praying always, but I can't shake the way I feel. I just need some encouragement

    2. My dearest sister Tezra, as I am reading and re-reading your post, I hear you CRYING out... I feel a pain and hopelessness in your heart. Lord, we speak against the spirit of hopelessness! We KNOW that God has created you for a special purpose and that He has GREAT plans for you. Fight for God’s outlook with all you have. Fight it with the Word of God, for ANYONE who is still among the living has hope. Jeremiah 29:11 NIV For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
      Proverbs 23:18 NIV "There is SURELY a future HOPE for you, and your hope will not be cut off."

      Dear God, I pray that you would restore and renew our sisters heart, mind, and spirit. She KNOWS your love, Lord God, she KNOWS who you are Lord God, but for some reason there has been a disconnect. God, we ask that you would SPEAK TO HER HEART. Heavenly Father, she is CRYING out to you. I pray that now, as I am typing these words, your loving and healing presence would be so HEAVY on her, that she would feel the JOY of knowing you, of being loved and cherished by You, I pray that YOU would envelop her in your presence Lord God, that you would hug her and hold her in your arms, we know that in your presence is JOY, peace, hope, strength, and comfort. God, she feels as though her cup is empty. I pray that you would fill it to the brim and then so that it runneth over. God, I know that in times when I have been down or discouraged, I have found HEALING in helping others. Lord God, I pray that Tezra, would get up and out of her home, and let the sun you created SHINE on her face, that she would join an outreach ministry in her city, a volunteer organization, and connect in some way to an avenue that allows her to share her love of Jesus Christ with others, to share her story with others and to minister to others who are hurting, possibly even more-so than she is. There is comfort found in comforting others. God, I pray that our sister would KNOW that she is never alone. You are there with her always, and in addition, you have placed Tezra in this place at this time, so that we could be here with her as well. Thank you God, for your plans for our lives.       In addition, I'd like to pray this prayer over and with you, "O Christ Jesus, when all is darkness and we feel our weakness and helplessness, give us the sense of Your presence, Your love, and Your strength. Help us to have perfect trust in Your protecting love and strengthening power, so that nothing may frighten or worry us, for, living close to You, we shall see Your hand, Your purpose, Your will through all things."   6. Hi, I'm requesting prayer for me and my husband. He recently got an email confirmation for his profile on a dating website. I confronted him about it and he said he never signed up. I know it was recent because the email was today. I think he's lying. I pray for him to be truthful and faithful. And I pray if he isn't, that God will tell me what to do. Thanks!

    1. My Sister, first let me say that my heart goes out to you, I can only imagine what you are going through at the thought that your Husband may be being unfaithful. But know that God has a way of opening up the truth to his children, when we truly seek him for His guidance and wisdom. I would like to say a prayer for you now. Dear Lord, I am here to ask for your grace God, I am asking that you cover our Sister with your peace, and your love lord. I ask that you bring her to the truth, that you give her the patience, and a kind forgiving heart that she may see her husband with loving eyes, with your eyes Lord, with unconditional understanding and love. I ask that you bring my fellow sister closer to her husband at this time. I ask that you build a bond that can not be broken. I ask that you bring our sister and her husband closer and nearer to you in this time of need. That you fill what ever void is missing with your love God. 1 John 5:14 - "Be confident that, if we ask according to His will, He hears us." Knowing God's word never comes back void. Wives, in the same way submit yourselves to your own husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives, when they see the purity and reverence of your lives. Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes.       Heavenly Father, I come to You in the Name of Jesus Christ. Lord, I pray that You will give my Sister the wisdom and disernment that she needs right now. I pray that You will bless her with peace knowing that You are in control of this situation. Father, her heart is heavy. Please hold her close during this time. I pray In the Name of Jesus that If this be so regarding her husband you will let him feel Your conviction for his actions. Convict him of this sin Lord. Bring him to his knees in repentence before You. I pray that You will renew the love in this marriage. Father, may his wife be the only woman in his life. Bless this family Lord I pray that you would heal this marriage Lord. I pray father that you would grant them a brand new start, give them both a love for one another like they have never had before. Father may they be a light house for other marriages. I pray that they would be an example for those who are dying and have no hope. Glorify yourself in their situation Lord.       Sister, I offer my shoulder and some words of prayer over you and your husband for your family’s sake. I understand your frustration and your anxiety, but look to the LORD in a word of prayer asking for direction. Ask HIM for the words to say that will best convey your feelings in a manner in which that is still respectful of your union.
      LORD, I pray for this wife who is feeling deceived, ask that you comfort her and help her get the answers she needs so that honor is not lost in this union.
      Father, I pray over this husband, that he expose the true nature of the disparity and that he confess to you and his wife of any wrongdoings and if there are any, that you would place your hand to his right so that repairs can be made and this marriage’s trust be restored.
      Overall Father, let this union be a trio of only you, him and her. We thank you for your restoration powers and your comforting spirit and your wise words that will mend this situation. We Thank You in Advance for a glorious outcome and for a testimony of LOVE through you. Thank You for saving them from distress since she calls out in trouble.   9. Please pray for me to get closer to God and that my hunger will be renewed. I am feeling spiritually defeated which is affecting my marriage as well. I also feel that God is preparing me for ministry, but I can’t possibly see HOW he can use someone like me. Someone that has been disobedient to His direction. My spirit is willing, but my flesh is extremely weak! I am in an unequally yoked marriage and although at one time I felt empowered to live in it, my husband and I have grown so far apart. His addictions are a huge issue for us and I will admit that my walk has withered. I feel God telling me each time I feel I need to leave that He isn’t done yet. Please pray for me I covet your prayers. Thank you God bless.

      My dear I can and do relate to your situation. I have been through my own disobedience and through an unequally yoked marriage as well with addictions on both sides.

      Lord I ask that as my sister draws near to you right now by reaching out to us for prayer that you would meet her right where she is. Lord, I pray that you would renew the hunger in her for your Word, for a relationship with You God! Lord lift her chin, as she has it hung low in feelings of shame thinking that she couldn't possibly be used by You. Show her the Your mighty hand Lord to rescue and restore that which is lost or wandering. Holy Spirit stir within her. Teach her to keep her eyes on You and not her circumstance, Lord. I pray for a time of refreshing in her life Lord. As, she waits on You, seeking You, awaiting what it is You would have her do Lord. Lord, give her a fresh infilling of Your Holy Spirit to empower her to continue! God continue to have Your way in this marriage Lord and bring restoration and healing in both of these lives.     Father God, we thank YOU for who you are.... a Healer and Restorer...Rebuilder and Rewarder. O..Lord YOU said when we seek YOU with all our hearts about our marriage and our family there is no good thing that YOU will withhold. Psalm 34v10. Father we stand on your promises today believing YOU for this marriage. In your Word it says YOU are the Lord, the God of all mankind. There is nothing too hard for you. (Jer. 32v37)Please help her to be strong, to be patient, and to be enduring. Show her how to help her husbands overcome his addiction, we plead that the addictions will cease and YOU would restore him with the love of Christ. In JESUS name Amen.
